The repealing of the Gold Control Act in 1993, set the stage for CGR Metalloys to usher in world-class gold metallurgical products and services, redefine the unorganised precious metal refining sector, & benchmark scientific practices to meet international standards of quality.

Embarking on our journey as Chemmanur Gold Refinery in 1994, we set up India’s first state-of-the-art Scientific gold refinery manufacturing 999 bullion, ensuring purity of refined gold across the entire gold supply chain.

With growing production volumes and multifarious activities over the years, the company was rebranded as CGR Metalloys in 2016, to reflect the diverse portfolio of services and products we offer. Today, CGR Metalloys is one of India’s leading names in the field of precious metallurgy.

BIS LICENSED GOLD REFINERY

BIS license for gold refining is granted to refiners who possess superior bullion manufacturing capabilities and stringent quality control norms as stipulated by the Bureau of Indian Standards. Additionally, CGR Laboratories are accredited by NABL as per IS/IEC 17025:2017, The highest international standard for gold testing laboratory management, a recognition of our ability to generate consistent & dependable accuracy is assays and product quality, Assuring our patrons' world-class products and services.

Refining

Refining gold-bearing alloys and scrap of varying metal content, to the purest bullion of 999.9 fineness is our forte. Our fully imported refining plants are equipped with the latest technology and implement sophisticated search and recovery methods to maximise precious metal recovery; Thereby optimising returns for our clients.

Assaying

Operating under stringent technical standards and with expertise in metallurgical analysis, trained at Sagor labs, Italy and Birmingham Assay office, England, we employ various techniques to analyse precious metals & alloys. we offer our patrons an array of assaying techniques including optical emission spectrometry, Fire assay, ED-XRF and other chemical & analytical methods.

Hallmarking

CGR Metalloys is a manufacturer of BIS Hallmarked gold bullion.

Our associate company, CGR Hallmarkers is a BIS-recognised Hallmarking Centre authorised to hallmark 22K, 18K & 14K gold and 92.5 Sterling silver jewellery, providing 3rd party certification of the purity of the metal, ensuring that it conforms to BIS standards.

Minting

We mint mirror-finish gold and silver coins for jewellers and corporates for sales promotions, employee appraisals, incentives and retail sales. We also take on private labelling of coins and are able to quickly generate large volumes at competitive rates, due to economies of scale.

Smelting

For scientific and accurate melting of old precious metals, we operate induction furnaces that ensure homogeneous melting & operate as per BIS protocols for melting and sampling. We provide professional service with utmost accuracy in test results and transparency in settlement and a fast turnaround time for metal to cash settlements.

Trading

We offer a full range of physical trading services in gold and silver, ensuring fully secured and insured delivery through our logistics partners. Being a BIS licensed refiner with an integrated facility allows us to import, process and refine doré and supply bullion to the jewellery trade and commodities markets in India.
